Sam Amidon at 92Y Tribeca
Sam Amidon gave a great performance at 92Y Tribeca on April 10, 2010. I covered the show for Time Out New York. You can see their write-up of the show on their blog The Volume. For more of photos from the concert see this set on flickr.
Thomas Bartlett (aka the doveman) warmed up the crowd with an intimate and touching set. A photo from his performance is included below and more can be found in this flickr set.

Spring Night
The city recently put out tulips in Zuccotti Park near Broadway and Cedar Street. The small park is lid up at night by lights in the ground. On a warm spring night with a light breeze, it's not a bad place to be.
The Temper Trap and The Kissaway Trail
I covered the concert for Time Out New York. The Temper Trap played with Danish Kissaway Trail as the warm up band. Both bands put on a great show.
For more photos from last night, see this flickr set for Temper Trap's performance and this flickr set for Kissaway Trail's show.

Listener
I saw this man listening to a conversation in Washington Square Park while I was on my way out of the park. I could tell from some distance away that his posture and the background would make an interesting image, but I wasn't sure if I would be able to casually capture the scene. In the end, I just got lucky. I shot the photo with the camera by my hip with the lens wide open at 1.2 (at 85mm).

I shot the photo with Canon's 85mm prime with an apature of 1.2. The lens delivers sublime bokeh.
Moon Over Wall Street
This is an early evening shot of the moon over 55 Wall Street (one of the largest office buildings in New York, it houses the headquarters of Standard & Poor's). The shutter speed was 1/20 sec with an apature of 2.8.
