The city recently put out tulips in Zuccotti Park near Broadway and Cedar Street. The small park is lid up at night by lights in the ground. On a warm spring night with a light breeze, it's not a bad place to be.

I covered the concert for Time Out New York. The Temper Trap played with Danish Kissaway Trail as the warm up band. Both bands put on a great show.

With exceptional bokeh you can almost make anything look good. Here the subject is a broom on the patio of the Staten Island Ferry Terminal in New York. The lens is Canon's 85mm 1.2 L.

I made a few updates to the website and the blog. I changed the background to white from black and updated my portfolio. The black background seem to work better for most of my photos.

I saw this man listening to a conversation in Washington Square Park while I was on my way out of the park. I could tell from some distance away that his posture and the background would make an interesting image, but I wasn't sure if I would be able to casually capture the scene. In the end, I just got lucky. I shot the photo with the camera by my hip with the lens wide open at 1.2 (at 85mm).

This is an early evening shot of the moon over 55 Wall Street (one of the largest office buildings in New York, it houses the headquarters of Standard & Poor's). The shutter speed was 1/20 sec with an apature of 2.8.

The building on Stone Street currently occupied by the Dubliner stands in front of the Goldman Sachs building at 85 Broad Street. The Goldman building was build in the mid 1980s and cut in half the historical Stone Street.

Not a nice day today in New York. I looked for a covered space to get some umbrella shots but didn't have much luck in getting something interesting. The best of the bunch was this one, shot at 115mm with an aperture of 2.8.
